A flid is a multi- purpose tool for leadlighters and copperfoilists. |
If your lead channel becomes pinched together when |
constructing the flid heel can be used to open the channel |
ready to take your glass. Wtih the point of the flid you can |
manoeuver your lead channel on to your glass piece. |
The flat portion of the flid is used to ease the lead flat at the joints |
ready for soldering. A few copperfoilists love the flid to |
smooth the sides of their foil ready for soldering. |
